Reef-safe, no guesswork

Made from reef-safe PETG

Most printed gear just says "reef safe" and leaves it there. Here is exactly what ours is made of, and why we trust it in our own tanks.

The reef-keeper's filament

We print in PETG, the reef community's go-to for saltwater, with good chemical resistance and low water absorption.

Pure filament, no fillers

No dyes, glow additives, or composite blends, since those are what can leach. Just clean PETG.

Never PLA or resin

For anything that lives in your tank we use PETG, never PLA or resin, which break down or can leach over time.

Tank-ready in seconds

Give every new piece a quick rinse in RO-DI water and it is ready to drop in.

Reef-safe FAQ

Is your 3D-printed gear reef-safe?

Yes. We print in PETG, the filament the reef community trusts for saltwater, and we skip the dyes and composite additives that can leach. For anything that lives in your tank we never use PLA or resin.

Will the plastic leach into my water?

PETG has good chemical resistance and low water absorption, and we print with pure filament, no colorants or fillers. Give any new piece a quick rinse in RO-DI water before it goes in and you are set.

How long will it last underwater?

PETG holds up. We have run our own pieces for years with no warping or cracking. It does not slowly break down the way PLA does in saltwater.

Will it grow algae, and how do I clean it?

Like anything in a reef tank, it can pick up algae or coralline over time. A toothbrush or a quick soak handles it, and the honeycomb design rinses clean easily.

How do I mount coral to it?

Super glue gel (cyanoacrylate) is the move because it sets underwater. Dab it on the frag, press it onto the rack or plug, and hold for about 60 seconds.

Where do you ship from and how fast?

Everything is printed to order in the USA. Because a lot of our work is custom, most orders take about 7 to 14 days depending on size, and you see the current estimate at checkout.
